Why do tourists love Coto Real?

By Mitch Horst

Coto Real is exactly what the Costa del Sol needs to continue its phenomenal economic growth well into the 21st century. It is a sprawling, terraced residential complex with excellent views of the sea (and a lovely marina) that is nestled into the world famous Duquesa golf area of Manilva. This is important, as it means that it will never be overlooked or crowded out by development – golf courses love their wide-open spaces and unobstructed views just as much as we do!

Of course, not everyone loves golf. Local amenities include tennis courts, equestrian centers, and some of the world’s best water sports – anything from scuba diving to wake boarding, jet skiing and sailing.

Coto Real is also only 5 minutes from the Duquesa Marina and not much farther from the famous (and soon to be world-famous) beaches at Casares, Manilva and Sabinillas. Visitors can enjoy the sun and unspoiled natural beauty all day, and then hit the town for the Costa del Sol’s exciting nightlife a s soon as the sun goes down. In between, there is shopping, find and casual dining, and every amenity the modern tourist could want!

The Coto Real community itself is fully gated and secure, and comprises more than 200,000 square meters of space – more than 2 million square feet – including not just the apartments but a variety of carefully maintained gardens, open green areas and closely attended and maintained swimming pools.

Economically, this is a great region to get involved in. It has experienced a continual, year-on-year growth of 6.6%, one of the largest sustained rates going. Compared to similarly situated properties in the Costa del Sol, Coto Real properties are selling at nearly 20% below market value as well.

But tourists need more than just entertainment. Coto Real also boasts excellent transport links to the capital of Malaga and other major cities, world class health care, shops, banks and even schools for the children of long-term residents.

That, combined with the shocking political and economic upheavals (and the violence they bring) in other world-class travel destinations today, there might not be a safer or more rewarding place to invest in resort property today!
